“I have over 35 years’ experience in childcare and 16 years in leadership. I have been at the Preschool since September 2004 with some time out from September 2017-June 2018.”

“Over the years I have had the privilege of working with some wonderful people, some whom are still with me. Over the past 16 years we have achieved one good and two consecutive outstanding Ofsted grades which we are all extremely proud of.”

“I am a leader and a pro-active team member who works hard to give all children the best possible start to early years education.”

With the support of my team I run the setting on a day to day basis ensuring we meet the statutory requirements of the early years foundation stage and work within our policies and procedures. I am also the lead person for safeguarding. In addition to this role I work in the setting as a key person to a group of children.

In the setting I love reading stories and bringing them to life using props and different voices. I also enjoy getting messy in the foam and other sensory resources.

“I am a mum to 4 children and a nanny to 5 grandchildren. I love going on holiday and spending time at the seaside in my caravan.
In my spare time I like nothing more than sitting in the garden with a good book!”

"I joined this lovely setting in 2018 and everyone has made me feel so welcome!"

I am now progressing to management and thoroughly looking forward to the future. I will work alongside the deputy and the team to maintain the very high standards that have already been set. I intend to lead the setting into the future and provide the best possible care and education in an inclusive and nurturing environment.

" I believe the 'In the moment approach' that the setting applies is the way to support and extend children's learning."
Children learn best when they are interested, rather than having it imposed upon them.

I am the lead person for the Letters and Sounds programme. My role is to research fun and exciting ways to promote speaking and listening skills.

I am a mum to a teenage boy and a primary aged girl. Life is pretty busy but I always make time for my garden; planting and watching the colourful flowers grow. I am creative and enjoy sharing my new ideas. My character spoons have been a hit with the children!

"My passion is to extend children's learning using story sacks and props."
